How quickly will I receive my car wash items? Do you order before 10:30 PM on workdays? We will then usually ship your package the same day. This way you can get started this weekend with a shiny result at puruscarwash.nl.
If you order during the weekend, before 10:30 PM on Sunday, you will usually receive your order on Monday.

Questions about Product Use & Technology

Is a pH-neutral shampoo really necessary? Absolutely. A pH-neutral shampoo from Purus cleans effectively without affecting existing wax layers or coatings. This is essential to maintain the paint protection you have carefully applied.

What is the difference between a rim cleaner and an ‘iron remover’? A standard rim cleaner removes general dirt and grease. An Iron Remover (such as our fallout remover) reacts chemically to burned-on brake dust and metal particles. You can see this by the purple discoloration. An iron remover is indispensable for heavily soiled rims.

Can I also use my interior cleaner on leather? We recommend always using a specific product for leather, such as our Leather Cleaner. A general interior cleaner (APC) can dry out leather, while our leather products maintain its suppleness.

Tips for the Best Result

What is the ‘two bucket method’ and why is it important? This is the golden rule for scratch-free washing. You use one bucket with shampoo and one bucket with clean rinse water. After each panel, rinse your washcloth in the rinse bucket before grabbing new foam. This way you prevent sand and dirt from rubbing on your paint.

How do I prevent limescale stains after washing? Limescale stains occur when water dries on the paint. Therefore, always use one of our microfiber drying towels (Drying Towels) with a high absorbency to pat the car dry immediately after rinsing.

Maintenance of your Tools

How do I wash my microfiber cloths and washing gloves? Wash your cloths in the washing machine at 30 or 40 degrees after use. Note: Never use fabric softener, as this clogs the fibers and destroys the absorbency. Preferably use a special microfiber detergent.
